The IDTA Freestyle and Street Scholarships is an annual event which presents the elite candidates who have received exceptional marks when being examined at Gold Bar 3 and above. The scholarships represent the high standard achieved by students under the tuition of IDTA teachers throughout the world.
Each nominee is invited to attend the Scholarship weekend, where they will receive tuition from some of the world’s top dance teachers and choreographers. The finalists in each category receive a superb trophy, with the winner receiving prize money to further their dance training. In addition to the class trophies, the Anna Jones Award for Freestyle and the Loraine Hasting Award for Street are also presented to the dancer in each category who is deemed to have outstanding potential.
