The IDTA Examination Service was suspended on 19th March following the statement by the Prime Minister on 18th March. The situation will be reviewed at the end of April and a further statement will be issued. The decision was made to try to ensure the safety of our teachers, candidates, their families, examiners and staff.
Following the Prime Minister’s statement last night, 23rd March, regarding the escalation of the COVID-19 virus and the need for the country to immediate and serious action to limit the spread of the virus worldwide, the IDTA office is now closed. Action has been taken so that some staff can work from home and we will monitor emails and respond.
“IDTA Sales is operating on a part time basis only from 1st April . Orders can be placed on line and we will be monitoring emails and will respond as quickly as we can. We will not be taking telephone orders or enquiries. We will be dispatching orders placed on or after Monday 23rd March over the next few days. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time.
We have received enquiries from members regarding making payments to the Association or Sales Company, payments can be made via the IDTA website using the “Make a Payment” option https://members.idta.co.uk/payments/enter
Thank you to all our members who have been supporting one another via Social Media and offering advice. The IDTA has published via its Facebook page advice if you are considering teaching online or live streaming classes. Please, please check with your insurance company and make sure you give appropriate safety instruction. We have also published guidance from A J Gallagher Insurance Company regarding teaching online and urge you to check with your insurer before starting classes.
