Jukka Haapalainen and Sirpa Suutari-Jaasko are renowned former Professional Latin dance champions, having won multiple prestigious titles including the British Open, International Open, and European Professional Championships. They are members and patrons of the International Dance Teachers’ Association and have received numerous accolades such as the Ballroom Dancers Federation Award, Carl Alan Award, and World Dance Council Isadora Duncan Award.
With an international performing career spanning over 30 years, they have toured extensively across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. They are the founders of Double Dance Company and have choreographed and performed in various stage productions, including "The Dance of Death", "WolfBride", "Blood Wedding," and "Evita the Musical."
As founders of Haapalainen Suutari Dancestudios in Helsinki, they focus on providing high-quality dance training to all ages and skill levels. They have also served as show directors and judges for the Finnish "Dancing With The Stars" television series and organize The Majestic Open to the World Dance Tournament in Brighton, England.
