IDTA elects a new Board of Directors

The International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) is pleased to announce the results of the recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on July 8th, where the Board of Directors was elected.

Board of Directors

  • President 2024-2025: Joanne Kirkland
  • President-Elect 2024-2025: Lynn Armsby
  • Immediate Past President 2024-2025: Yvonne Saunders
  • Financial Director 2024-2025: Michael Sandham

Directors 2024-2025: Dallas Chapman, Linda Cook, Philip Diment, Colin Donaldson, Loraine Hastings, Anna Henrich-Jones,  Wendy Heywood, Darren Kelly, Jill Kemp, Lynda King, Dawn Parker, Barbara Sharples, Denise Skinner, Bryan Thomson, and Phil Winston.

Joining the newly elected Board of Directors is Jo Kirkland as the new President. Jo’s extensive involvement in the dance world encompasses competitive dancing and owning a successful dance school. Her commitment to fostering the growth of teachers, examiners, and the IDTA’s presence globally demonstrates her deep-rooted passion for the organisation and its members.

The IDTA also extends its congratulations to Lynn Armsby, who has been appointed as President-Elect. With eight years of experience as a Director, combined with her business acumen and background in dance education, Lynn brings a valuable skill set to the role.

Additionally, the IDTA welcomes Jill Kemp as a new Director. Jill’s lifelong dedication to dance began in the East End of London and has led her to open her dance centre, mentor countless professionals, and contribute to various IDTA faculties.
