We are excited to announce that we are holding our Tap & TheatreJazz Performance Awards & Cabaret Awards 2024 in a brand new venue for us – the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks. The event is being held on Sunday 27th October 2024. We have moved to this new venue to allow us to accommodate more entries/students into our Cabaret event in the evening as our previous venue was very limited on backstage space. We hope as many of you as possible will be able to join us to make this event a success.
If you are unfamiliar with this event, then please do get in touch as we would like as many schools as possible from the South East to attend. Teachers can nominate students to attend the Tap or TheatreJazz Performance Awards if they have passed their G3, G4, G5 or Intermediate in either Tap, Theatre Craft or Contemporary Modern Jazz. They need to have passed their exam with 83% or above in the last 18 months. They will take part in a class taught by an outside teacher and 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and Endeavour Award will be selected by our adjudicators. It really is a wonderful day and a great celebration of the talent that we have in the South East.
Our Cabaret event is open to all schools who would like to bring group dances to the event. They can be any age/genre and again our adjudicators will select 1st, 2nd & 3rd from the evening’s performances. It runs like a show and is great for all parents and teachers watching. Depending on the number of entries we get, we would like to hold a junior and senior section.
